About Us

Donate a Monkey was founded in 2012, by a very ambitious 4th grader, Carey, who was looking for ways to help children in our community. Ever since our organization was established, we have endeavored to provide help to children in need. Especially those children that were facing extended hospital stays.

Our team is made up entirely of volunteers.  In 2014, Donate a Monkey began aiding children overseas providing sock monkeys and homemade Pillow Monkeys to children receiving cardiac surgeries through the for hearts and souls organization.

Carey and the Donate a Monkey volunteers have been so blessed to have the support of our local community especially the membership of Abiding Presence Lutheran Church and the students of Frank Tejeda Middle School and Encino Park Elementary who have volunteered to at times to help her make the world a better place.

Our Motto

"Helping to Heal the World - One Monkey at a Time"

Do you want to support us by helping with our work? Then do not hesitate to contact us. Looking for an easy way to make the world a better place. Sponsor a Pillow Monkey Party where people can make Pillow Monkeys to support children undergoing difficult cardiac procedures in dangerous places in the Middle East and Africa.  Visit our Snuggle Monkey Pattern page to download a Pillow Monkey pattern.
